MEMBERSHIP TYPES:
o Alumni Membership: People who are graduates of FAMU, and people who have completed at least one academic term and left in good standing, are eligible to become alumni Members.
o Associate Membership: A person who did not attend the University who is interested in supporting the causes of the Association is eligible to become an Associate Member by a majority vote of the chapter membership at any regular meeting. Associate Members may vote and hold elective offices at the Region level and below at the discretion of Region and Chapter respectively. Associate Members may vote at the National level. These eligible people shall pay all applicable membership dues at the Chapter, Region, and National levels, to become an Associate Member and vote at each level. Associate Members shall not hold elective offices at the National level.
· Active Membership: To be considered an Active Member of the Association, the individual must pay the required annual assessment(s) at the applicable Chapter, Region, and National levels. An Active Member is often referred to as a Voting Member or a ‘member in good standing’.
· Membership year: July 1 – June 30
· Dues ($100): $35 – Chapter / $15 – Region / $50 – National
